Gender mainstreaming in COSMHYC DEMO is about ensuring that women’s perspectives and experiences inform every stage of our project, from research and development to demonstration. This commitment goes beyond words: several women working on the COSMHYC DEMO project are also active participants in Women in Green Hydrogen, a pioneering network that champions women’s roles in the renewable hydrogen sector. Through this network, we're fostering a supportive community that elevates women’s voices, creates mentorship opportunities, and addresses gender-specific challenges within the field.
A highlight of our gender mainstreaming efforts this year came when Marie-Eve Reinert from Steinbeis Europa Zentrum, one of our partners, was featured in the leading career magazine for women INGenie, offering insights into her work on our project and discussing the broader potential of green hydrogen. The interview underscored not only the technical significance of our project but also its social impact, inspiring other women to consider careers in renewable energy and hydrogen technology.
As we continue to develop cutting-edge hydrogen compression solutions, we remain dedicated to making our field more inclusive. Gender mainstreaming enhances our project by ensuring diverse ideas, perspectives, and experiences drive the innovation needed to achieve Europe’s energy and climate goals. Together, we’re building a future that’s both sustainable and equitable for everyone.
